A cappuccino is a popular coffee drink from Italy. The coffee drink is made with espresso (bittersweet coffee, highly concentrated) or from arabica coffee beans. In a cup of cappuccino you add steam milk and milk foam on top. It falls in between a latte and a macchiato. 

Espresso, steamed milk, and milk foam are all use in equal measure to make the coffee beverage known as a cappuccino.The process of making a it is 1/3 espresso, 1/3 milk, 1/3 steam milk, a perfect and airy balance between espresso and milk. The process for making the drink is as followed:

  2. The espresso is then combined with a small amount of steamed milk to create the rich texture
  3. a layer of milk foam is added on top of the drink. To add air to the milk and creates a creamy, bubbly texture

A macchiato is a coffee drink that is made by adding a small amount of foam milk to an espresso shot. The word "macchiato" means "marked" or "stained" in Italian referring to the small amount of milk that is added to the espresso to "mark" or "stain" it.

Macchiato sometimes refer to Caffe Macchiato, Espresso Macchiato, and a new version of Caramel Macchiato. Macchiato have only two ingredients: espresso and heated milk. The only ingredients in a macchiato are espresso and heated milk. The coffee drink contains a lot of espresso and typically have a thin layer or of milk on top. Due to the fact that they just need to hold the espresso and a small amount of milk, macchiatos generally come in smaller cups.

Process of making a macchiato at home, is by using a moka pot. You can use any kind of coffee to make, but the equipment to have at home for brewing coffee is a moka pot.

What is espresso macchiato?

Espresso macchiato is a traditional version of the macchiato, made with a single shot of espresso and a small dollop of foamed milk on top. Very similar to a espresso shot except with heated milk to have a smooth coffee taste.

What is caramel macchiato?

Caramel macchiato includes a drizzle of caramel syrup and is often served with textured milk and a sprinkle of caramel shavings on top. A good and perfect coffee for people who prefer stronger coffee drink but do not want to drink an espresso in the evening.
